Hi there, I wanted to share with you something that has been haunting me for a while now. I've been looking everywhere for someone to hear me out but they just look at me like I'm crazy. Do you think I'm crazy? Please don't go, I need to tell you my story. I assure you that my mental health is in check or at least I think it is. So how about it, are you going to hear me out? You are, that's great to hear!

It all started out when I saw sitting at my kitchen table as I was enjoying a nice warm hot chocolate. I just came home from spending the day with my mom and I was pretty tired from the whole experience. My mom though had somewhere that she needed to do still so she just dropped me off and went on her way, so I was home alone. I was only home for what felt like minutes when I heard a knock at the door.

I sighed as I got up from the table and headed over to the door to see who was there. To my surprise it was my best friend Andrew! I hadn't seen him for a few days and he looked really tired. Please note when I say really tired I mean he had bags under his eyes and looked like he hadn't slept in days, it was a bit disturbing to see him like that. Quickly I opened the door and invited him inside. I took note that Andrew held a piece of paper in his hand, although I wondered what it was for I decided against asking questions about it.

"Would you mind going to the kitchen, I have to call my mom to see if it is okay that you're here," I said as I turned and grabbed the house phone. "Oh if you want there is some hot chocolate on the stove, you're free to help yourself," I called out as I dialed my mom's number.

Andrew though didn't answer back and just sat down at the table, I just figured he wasn't in the mood for hot chocolate. After calling my mom she said it was fine with her if Andrew stayed. I told him the good news as I sat down across the table from him.

"So Andrew, what's up if you don't mind me asking? I mean I love it when you visit but dude you don't look so hot and I haven't seen you in days."

"Do you remember that game we bought from that garage sale a week ago as a birthday present for me?"
"Yes, it was Soul Silver I think. Why is there something wrong with it?"

"Well… never mind."

Now I knew something was up, he wouldn't even look me in the eye. I decided to change the subject, maybe he would tell what the paper was for. "So what's up with the piece of paper?"

As if he had forgotten that he had it, Andrew glanced at it for a moment and placed it on the table. "I want you to read this."

I looked at the paper then back at him. "Why?"

"It would mean a lot to me if you did."

I sighed; Andrew wasn't answering any of my questions. Andrew though was like a brother to me so of course I would do anything for him. "Alright, I'll read it."

"Thanks."

I picked it up and held it in my hands. The paper was neatly typed up, which made me a bit happy since well Andrew didn't have the best handwriting in the world although the font was small but that wasn't a big deal. Without a second thought I started to read the paper.

------
There is something wrong with the game we bought Kelly; I mean something really wrong. I can't you myself because she is watching me…

I knew right when I first started the game there wasn't something right about it. The opening music was off; it was a much slower and was in a lower pitch than I remembered it to be. It actually sent shivers down my spine and gave me goose bumps. It was an easy fix though, I just clicked passed it and was brought to the continue page. There was a file alreadY, which wasn't odd since we did bought it from a garage sale used. I though wanted to start a new file but the stupid thing wouldn't let me, it was weird.

I looked at the file the trainer's name was Lous, I wasn't quite sure what to make out of that name. Besides the name there wasn't anything off that I cOuld tell. I clicked the file to check it out, when I did a loud high pitch noise blasted through the speakers. It surprised me enough to drop my DSi onto the ground, which luckily didn't break it. The noise though was short lived and stopped within a few seconds. I picked up my DSi off the ground and saw that Lous was in Ecruteak City and that he had a Jolteon following him. I noticed though that everything seemed darker for some odd reason, it was sort of hard to see anything due to the darkness of the screen.

I also noticed that the background mUsic was playing backwards but it was sort of soft so it wasn't all that bad. I decided it was some sort of glitch or something because that is in no way normal for the game. I already knew that because we did play HeartGold together and none of this happened. It wasn't that bad though that I couldn't ignore it. I decided to continue to play.

First thing was first; I wanted to see what other Pokémon Lous had besides the Jolteon. The first thing I noticed was that the Jolteon was a female nAmed Fae and that he only had three other Pokémon. The three Pokémon were a Houndoom, a Mightyena, and an Absol. They though didn't have any nicknames but I didn't care. I clicked off and walked around the town for a bit. I though couldn't enter any of the buildings, every time I tried it would say it was locked from the inside. I also noticed I couldn't leave the city, it was like a barrier kept me from leaving.

I started to notice when I talked to the people outside of the buildings the writing seemed to be backwaRds. The only person who didn't speak backwards was that old man that stands in front of the burnt tower. What he said to me sent a shiver down my spine.
"What is wrong with your Jolteon… it has red eyes and seems to be smiling."

That made me instantly go and check out Fae's sprite, since I didn't do that earlier. The old man was right, Fae had bright rEd eyes that seemed sort like they were glowing but it could have been the darkness of the screen that made them stand out. I also saw that she seemed to be smiling, not like the normal smile either that I would see on a Jolteon but a devilish looking smile which showed that she had sharp teeth. Her ears looked to be pushed back as if she was angry.

As I continued to look at her the screen started to act a bit on the glitched side and started to fade in and out of static. I tried clicking off Fae's stats but the game wouldn't let me. I had no choice but to turN off the game. I though restarted it back up a few minutes later but this time I was greeted by a black screen. The high pitch noise returned and something slowly faded into sight. I then heard a Jolteon's cry but it sounded off, it would flip between high and low pitch and was playing slowly.

Fae's sprite was now visible but shE wasn't alone the sprites of the Houndoom, Mightyena, and Absol were there as well. They were like her guard dogs but unlike her though they looked normal. The game started to act up again but this time it shut itself off.

Kelly, it's been doing this for days. I can't do anything and I sort of think the game has a mind of its own. Fae scares me; it has gotten so bad that I see her in my sleep and sometimes even when I am awake. I don't know when the neXt time I'll have to sleep but it feels like it has been forever.

Please I need you To do something, I need help.
-------

After I was done reading the paper I looked over to Andrew, he looked so tired. I didn't know what to say to him, it sounded so farfetched. It was just a game after all, how could it actually do any harm? I though wanted to help him in any way that I could. "What would you want me to do? You know I'll help any way I can."

"It's too late."

"What's too late?"

"I can't be saved."

I was scared now; didn't the paper ask me for help? He then rolled up his sleeves and the sight made me tear up. Andrew had so many cuts on his arms, which I could have sworn said "Fae is watching", and they looked painful. "Andrew what did you do!" I exclaimed as I ran over to him.

"I can't be saved."

"Stop saying that!" I snapped at him. Did the game make him do this? I though refused to accept that, it was just a stupid kid's game!

"Sorry I must be going now, see you around Kelly." He then pulled something out of his pocket but I didn't see what it was because I was more focused on him than anything else.

For a second I swore I saw his eyes flash red for a second. Right there and then I didn't want him to leave, not when he was acting like that. I tried to stop him from leaving me house, but he was so much physically stronger than I was that he just pushed me aside. All I could do was watch him walk away.

Andrew then walked into the middle of the street and just stood there. Just then a huge truck started to come down the street but Andrew didn't seem to notice it coming. I had no choice, I started to run towards him but I was too slow. The truck hit him and that was it. I fell to my knees and started to cry, he was gone.

It was a few hours later that I went back into the kitchen; the events were still fresh in my mind. I looked at the table and noticed something there next to the paper; it was the Soul Silver game. I picked it up and when I did something inside me made me flip it over. When I did that I couldn't believe what I had seen.  It was a red circle with a five pointed star in the middle of it; strangely it was small enough to fit on the back of the game. A strange thought then came over me, how did I not see that earlier? You would think Andrew or I would have caught that right away, but we didn't.

I looked at the paper again and noticed something about it. I'm not going to tell you what though; you can find that on your own. I'll give you a hint though; collect the capital letters that shouldn't be capitalized. You are free to believe me that this happened or you can think I am crazy but after seeing it firsthand I got rid of it. Yes you heard me, I got rid of the game but only after I had played it only for a few minutes. I'm just going to say that Andrew was on the ball with this game.

I must though bid you farewell now I'll see you around sometime…

I can hear it now. "Look it's one of those eevee evolution pastas, sooo cliche!" Whatever, look you can think what you want I don't care I know there are some cliches in the story XD

I know I could have done a lot better, but I still somewhat liked how this came out. I'm trying to stay away from blood and gore so yeah it might not be as creepy as it could be (unless you don't like blood/gore then it might be fine).

I'm though curious did anyone figure out what she found in the paper that Andrew gave her? Also feel free to suggest a better title because I know this one is lame :D

From now on I'm going to check the backs of my pokemon games for pentagrams before I play them.
