A lone Farfetch'd lain under a shady oak tree; he only wanted to relax for a moment to escape the summer heat. He laid his leek stalk next to him as he made himself comfortable under the tree. The soft grass mixed with shade started to make him dose off into slumber. It didn't take long for Farfetch'd to be completely asleep.

Hours passed by and Farfetch'd slept without a care in the world. A Purrloin though happened to spot the sleeping duck Pokémon and slowly made her way over to him. She was careful and quiet with her footsteps, so that she wouldn't wake the Farfetch'd up. It didn't take her too long to make her way over to him.

Purrloin didn't see anything of real worth but she did see the leek stalk. It was probably the only thing there that was work anything, mainly due to the fact that she could use it as food. After moments of thinking it over, she decided to steal it from the sleeping Farfetch'd. She though didn't want to steal though for the sole purpose of using for food, she knew for a fact that Farfetch'd loved their leek stalks and she wanted to steal it to mess with him. Purrloin, being the perfect thief that she was, crept slowly towards the leek stalk.

Her movements were smooth and precise, she didn't want to make any mistakes this close to Farfetch'd. Purrloin waited until she was right next to the duck Pokémon and slowly stretched over him. She snatched the leek stalk quickly with her paws but to her dismay her fur softly brushed against the duck's face.

As if it was a reflux he quickly opened his eyes, only to see the cat Pokémon over him. Farfetch'd noticed right away what was in her paws, his leek stalk. Purrloin was taken by surprise when he woke open and quickly jumped back with the leek stalk still in her paws. She was caught red-handed in her thieving act.

Farfetch'd shot right onto his feet quickly so that he was able to confront the thieving cat, it was clear that he wasn't happy with her taking his leek stalk. Purrloin had no choice now but to put on her cute act, she could see the anger building up in the duck's eyes. As if it came natural to her she made herself look cute and innocent.

Farfetch'd looked at the Purrloin for a second; he wasn't though buying her cute act. He only had eyes for the leek stalk and nothing more. He had an intense need to get his leek stalk back and he didn't care how cute the dang thing was it took his leek stalk away from him. Farfetch'd, without hesitation now, ran towards the Purrloin as fast as his webbed feet would take him.

Purrloin was completely taken off by surprise; her cute charm never failed her before. She placed the leek stalk in her mouth to free her front paws. Purrloin wasn't about to let the stupid duck take it from her, she always got away with the prize and she was determined to do the same this time as well. She gracefully dodged the duck's attempt to attack her.

Since he didn't have his leek stalk at his disposal, he would have to use his other methods of attack. He stopped dead in his tracks after he noticed Purrloin had dodged him. Farfetch'd used his wings to send a strong gust of wind right at Purrloin.

She had no chance to dodge the attack. The gust sent her right into the shady oak tree, despite that though she still had the leek stalk in her mouth. Purrloin returned the favor by slashing out at Farfetch'd, it landed a hit but he still was able to go after her.

The two continued to attack each other, with each side not letting up. Purrloin wasn't going to let go of the leek stalk and Farfetch'd wasn't going to let it get away from him. They both took heavy damage from the attacks they took but out of the two Farfetch'd was probably the one who took the most damage, since he lacked his leek stalk thus lost some of his attacks.

Purrloin had enough of him and used night slash on him. She managed this time to rip his abdomen to shreds with the attack. Farfetch'd yelped in sheer pain as crimson started to stain his feathers. He though didn't let up and continued to attack the cat. He then managed to get close enough to Purrloin to snatch his leek stalk out of her mouth.

Sadly it was easier said than done, his vision was fading in and out as his strength started to fail on him. He still was successful in snatching back his leek stalk from her mouth even though she put up a heck of a fight. Farfetch'd didn't care, he finally got back his leek stalk.

Purrloin hissed in anger and launched herself at him to get back the leek stalk. He though wasn't about to lose his leek stalk a second time so when she was in range he took a swing at her with it. Purrloin took a hit to the head and fell onto the ground in a daze. In a fit of anger he started to repeatedly strike her on the head with the leek stalk as hard as he could, he wasn't going to let her get his leek stalk ever again. Farfetch'd continued to do this until Purrloin no longer moved and his leek stalk was splashed with a reddish hue. Finally he won back his leek stalk from Purrloin for good.

It was a small victory in the end; Farfetch'd collapsed moments later due to blood loss from the wound Purloin had given him. He died with the blood covered leek still in clasped in his wing but at least he looked happy in the end.
Yeah this came around because I really wanted to do something with Farfetch'd in it, I love that duck

Obsession can lead to such unhappy ending, don't you agree?

Here are the Pokedex entries that inspired this one:

Farfetch'd:
"It can't live without the stalk it holds. That's why it defends the stalk from attackers with its life." (Diamond/Pearl)

Purrloin:
"They steal from people for fun, but their victims can't help but forgive them. Their deceptively cute act is perfect." (Black)
